Bear Trucks was founded in 2004 by Landyachtz to develop stronger, more precise downhill and freeride skateboard trucks suited to the evolving styles of high‑speed riding. Their early models, like the CNC Precision Smokie and Grizzly, offered reinforced 10 mm axles and faced hangers for enhanced durability and stability.

Over the years Bear has continued refining its designs, using virgin 8356 aluminium with Squeeze Cast technology, heat‑treated axles and faced hangers to improve strength and grain structure. The lineup spans models for carving, cruising, street, downhill and racing, including the popular Polar cruiser trucks and the Gen 6 Grizzly series.
