There Skateboards emerged around 2019 in the San Francisco Bay Area, growing out of Unity, the Bay Area collective founded by Jeffrey Cheung and Gabriel Ramirez. It formally separated from Unity in late 2021 and continues with distribution handled by Deluxe alongside other major skate brands.

There is openly queer‑ and trans‑centered, with a DIY ethos and a focus on community, art and unique board shapes. Decks range from 8.06" to 9.75" in width, including custom True Fit and artist‑designed molds, and the brand has released a series of full‑length videos from 2022 to 2025.
